Biotechnology and Environmental Studies Academy (Biotech Academy)
The Biotechnology and Environmental Studies Academy at Indian Trail Academy is a four year program with heavy emphasis on science. To get an appreciation for the number and type of science classes in this four year program you can view the Biotech Courses.
The Biotech Academy follows the design and mission of Indian Trail Academy. This means that there is often integration in curriculum from one class to another. Sometimes this integration is between two science classes and other times the over lap is between science and non-science (english, math, seminar or social studies). Occasionally, a grade level academy project becomes an integrated unit with a requirement and grade component with all other academy specific classes.
Recently, ITA purchased a starter set of Vernier science probes to be used with the Mac 1-to-1 laptop computer program.
