Lightroom Magazine Issue 3 Almost Here

lrissue3
Happy Monday everyone. I wanted to let you know that our Lightroom Magazine App issue #3 is really close. The magazine is basically done, and will be submitted to the App store this week. After that, it can literally take just a couple of days or up to a couple of weeks depending on how things go. In the meantime, I figured I’d share the cover and table of contents so you could take a look at what’s coming in the issue.

Here’s the link to the app and a free issue (issue #1). Don’t forget, there’s also issue 2 available for $4.99.

Oh, and by the way, you know the deal on the comments ;)

    This looks totally awesome.

(I just wish I had some way to read it :) Sorry – I know, I know.)

@matt: Any chance for a subscription? Or just one issue at a time?

Hey Brad. Nope. No subscriptions in the plans yet.

Is there a possibility that the magazine can/will be made available in a format for those of us who don’t own I-pads?

  • http://twitter.com/aboutcepimages Charles Putnam,

Enjoyed the first two issues. Would love to see an article or post on setting up/syncing images to an iPad.

Are you working on iPhone support? I don’t have an iPad.
    My systems are:
    iPhone 3Gs IOS 6.1
    Apple OS/x snow leopard 10.6.8
    Windows XP
    Windows 7
    Window 8
    That’s enough.

      Nope. No iPhone plans.

Is this available on a MacPro?

I guess no matter how often or how you say it some people just can’t lay off the iPad hater comments.
In the most recent quarter alone reported Apple sold 84 million iPads. I think there is probably a sufficient revenue opportunity for an iPad only app.
But that won’t stop the same redundant comments the next time you announce an issue.

You can say that again Glenn. I’m often tempted to respond when people demand a justification but then I’m reminded of a quote I heard years ago (by Seth Godin). I’ve learned to live by it and he’s 100% right. No matter what I say, they’re not going to come back and say “Oh Matt… I’m sorry.. you’re right and I’m wrong”. It just won’t happen ;)

“The problem is this: No spreadsheet, no bibliography and no list of resources is sufficient proof to some one who chooses not to believe. The skeptic will always find a reason, even if it’s one the rest of us don’t think is a good one. Relying too much on proof distracts you from the real mission”

Not hating. Was echoing the “totally awesome” “wish I could read it.”

I want to read what I expect will be an excellent $5 periodical but not going to spend hundreds to do so when I already have an iPhone5, Macbook Pro, a nook, and a desire to buy good glass.

Love your stuff Matt and will continue to patiently hope, with zero expectations of course :)

After rereading the posts announcing the “magazine”, please accept my apologies for my snarky comment. And you Apple haters (of whom I am one) listen up: this “magazine” is really an iPad app.

I had assumed (mistakenly) that this “magazine” was being distributed and arbitrarily limited to the iPad Newstand ecosystem. This is not the case (as several other iPad users have commented). I have no idea why this is an app rather than a magazine–hopefully it makes use of some iPad magic to be really cool (and is thus very difficult/expensive to provide via other channels.)

Maybe someday the content will be available in another channel. I’ll be the first in line with my $5.

Did the download issues get resolved? It took me forever to download the first issue.

  • Rick

I have tried several times of deleting and reinstalling the app with no luck on it downloading any of the magazines. Is there any trick I am missing?

  • Max

Excellent Magazine but… just in issue 3 the Before-After video seems a low res one, very bad quality. Tried to download it again, no improvement. Issue 1 and 2 video is fine.

    What about Google Magazines?
